Cleveland’s Irish Pub
SINCE 1997
Our Story
Some Bars Serve Drinks. Flannery’s Serves Cleveland
Since Denis Flannery opened these doors on East 4th Street in 1997, this place has been more than a pub. It’s been a front-row seat to everything Cleveland has lived through. The heartbreaks, the championships, the comebacks and everything in between.
We’ve Been Here For
29 St. Patrick Days. 27 MAC Basketball tournaments. 5 NBA Finals. 2 World Series. 2 MLB All-Star Games. The 2021 NFL Draft on the lakefront. The 2024 NCAA Women’s Final Four. The Republican National Convention. Marine Week. Lebron’s Draft, Decision, Homecoming and the night Cleveland finally became NBA Champions. We’ve watched The Flats fold and come back. We’ve witnessed 3 marriages, 15 children and more starting quarterbacks than we care to count.
A Cleveland Staple
Through all of it, one thing has never changed - the people. Denis built Flannery’s on a simple belief: that a great pub should be a place where anyone, regardless of background, race or religion, can pull up a stool and feel at home.

Nearly 30 years later, that’s still exactly what Flannery’s is. A true Irish pub in the heart of Downtown Cleveland, cold Guinness on draft, classic pub fare done right, and the kind of energy that keeps Cleveland coming back.
Built on Beer, Community & Cleveland Pride.
